Testimony

I am from the area and graduated from Newman Catholic High School in 2018. I then went to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and played volleyball for four years there. I became a believer in college through a teammate inviting me to the sports ministry Athletes in Action and have experienced the Holy Spirit radically change my life by using sport as His vehicle. I had a lot of head knowledge about God, but when I started to read the Word, God revealed to me the Truth about His Son Jesus and the Gospel. He showed me that my identity is not in my sport, nor rooted in my relationships with other people, but in the Blood. Along with being a student leader with Athletes in Action, I was elected President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) my junior and senior years and served on the conference SAAC. This helped me learn the ins and outs of athletic departments and how they interact within the conference as well as on the campus level. Now back home, I am part of Highland Community Church here in Wausau and have been so blessed by the community, specifically the young adults ministry where I have met my now husband and best girlfriends.
