In light of Governor Evers decision to implement the mandatory school closing on Wednesday, March 18th, Faith will follow this guideline and close on Wednesday. To help staff, students, and families plan and prep; we are going to have school on Monday and Tuesday. We will continue to keep you informed as more details about hours of instruction and requirements are released. At this point, we are planning on sending work home with students at the Elementary level and build in some online components for the MS/HS. We ask for patience as we work to accommodate the best we can through an ever-evolving situation.

As a faith family, I encourage you all to continue to pray for those around the country who are making decisions. We have the assurance that though these men and women are in leadership roles, we truly understand that God continues to be in control and sovereign over everything. I pray we can find the peace that transcends understanding during this time of uncertainty. I pray we can all take opportunities to show the light of Christ and assurance that the things of this world are momentary afflictions compared to the glory that we will experience with our Heavenly Father for an eternity. We have a hope for the hopeless.

Here are some tangible things to consider as a parent:

  • Consider ways you can support the teachers as we work together throughout the next few weeks.
  • Be prayerful in how you can serve other families that may have daycare needs or other financial needs. This is obviously going to cause a huge ripple effect.
  • Be patient as we adapt and respond to this constantly changing situation.
  • Let this be an opportunity for our spoken theology to match our lived theology.

Matthew 5:14-16- “You are the light of the world. A city set upon a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”

Feel free to contact me with questions and considerations.
