Testimony
After marrying a young man I met at youth group and having three precious daughters, my husband became verbally and physically abusive as well as an abuser of alcohol and drugs. I was determined to honor my marriage vows, and when my husband left after almost 19 years, I became a single mom to one preteen and two teenage girls. Rough does not begin to describe the next few years, but God was faithful and truly became a “husband and father” to my girls and I. After God brought Dave into my life and we married, I had the opportunity to go back to college to get my teaching degree. I love telling the story of God’s faithfulness and grace to my students and to anyone else who will listen. Although all three of my daughters are now married and walking with the Lord, there were many very difficult years when they were not. The Lord has given me so many opportunities to love on students and parents that are hurting….and to remind them of how much God loves them and knows their pain.
