Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.”
“It is my privilege to have the opportunity to teach K3 and to instruct biblical principals through memory verses, bible stories and song. Along with listening skills, number & letter concepts, shape recognition, and coloring & tracing. The Lord has given me a love for young children and it brings such great joy to see them learn both academically and in their love for the Lord. ” ~Mrs. Schlagel

I was raised in a bible believing home. I was saved at the age of 7 and baptized at the age of 10. During my high school years I was greatly influenced by friends and quickly saw how the world disappoints. I then committed my life to serving the Lord. I found myself filling my weekends and evening up with babysitting and serving in my local church. After high school I married my best friend Mike, and we have been married for 20 years. We have 3 children ages 18, 15 and 10. My growth in the Lord has grown tremendously in the last 20 years. The Lord has brought many blessings and trials in our lives for us to learn from and I’m very thankful for each one. For the last 2 years we had the opportunity to live in Washington State for my husband’s job. I was able to homeschool our 3 children during this time along with seeing the awe of God’s creation by being blessed with the chance to live only a few minutes from the mountains and the ocean. It was such a wonderful experience.
My life verse is Philippians 4:8, “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” I keep this verse posted in many rooms of our house as a reminder as I go through the day to keep my focus on the Lord and praise Him for such wonderful things He has blessed us with.
