Mrs. Barbara Simon

Raised in a Christian home, I accepted Jesus as my Savior as a young child.  Since I struggled with the concept of grace, I got “saved” repeatedly over the years until I received greater understanding of God’s character and covenant faithfulness.  I’m thankful that the Bible was revered in the home I was raised in and that I had many opportunities to go to Bible-based churches and church camps as a young person.

Shortly after my graduation from college, I met and married Bill Simon who was Best Man at a wedding that I was Maid of Honor at in Michigan. Married for almost 44 years, we have 4 grown children (stepchildren for me) and a multitude of grandchildren.  For most of my married life I was a Customer Service Rep. / Administrative Assistant in my husband’s metalworking industry businesses in Minnesota and Wisconsin.  I also began using my teaching degrees in Wisconsin and Minnesota around 1988, as a substitute teacher in Christian and public schools.

Some of my favorite Bible verses are Psalm 100: 5:  “For the Lord is GOOD; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations,” and Acts 2: 8:  “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
