I was raised in a Christian home. I accepted Jesus as my lord and savior at a young age and was involved in church and missions for as long as I can remember. I married Craig in 1997 and 18 months later we had our first son, Seth. Once we had Seth, we realized how much love we had to give. Jonah was born in 2000. We decided God was calling us to adopt internationally and Alejandra came into our family from Guatemala in 2002. Eight years later, God opened the door to adopt from Ethiopia. Hoping for a younger sister we prepared our dossier. As God would have it, He led us to adopt that little sister plus two more brothers! Tamirat, Amanuel and Sena came home in 2010. God is good!

I have been involved in education as a professional since 1998. I have worked in daycare, both in home and larger centers. I taught K4 at Faith Christian Academy before deciding to return to college and pursue my bachelor’s in elementary education. I worked as a teacher’s aid at FAITH¬†while completing my studies. I also taught third grade right after graduating. Then, we homeschooled for a few years and I substituted for FAITH. Now, I am excited to be returning full-time to the third and fourth grade classroom. I truly love teaching and am looking forward to using the gifts and talents from the Lord along with my education to bring honor and glory HIM in the classroom. Children are a gift and I am honored to partner with parents and Faith Christian Academy in this journey!
