“I am surrounded by a family of educators. My grandmother was a teacher, my father was a teacher, my mother was a paraprofessional in a 4K classroom, my husband is a principal, and both of his parents have worked in the education field. I have a passion for teaching that was instilled at a very early age. After completing college with a Major in Elementary Education and a Minor in Early Childhood: Exceptional Educational Needs from University of Wisconsin Stevens Point in 2003, I began my first teaching job in 5th grade at Riverview Elementary in Wausau. I continued to work there until our second child was born in March of 2007. Since then, I have thoroughly enjoyed staying home with our 4 children. My family and I attend Highland Community Church where I have taught 4K Childrens Church and serve as a table leader for MOPS. I am excited to begin a new adventure at Faith Christian Academy and help our next generation grow in their love and relationships in Christ.”

“As a child, I grew up in a christian home. We attended church regularly and I was confirmed near the end of junior high. Although I was an active participant in our church, I didn’t truly know the Lord. I did not have a relationship with Him. Fast forward through high school and college, when I still identified as a believer, but did not live out an active faith as a true believer would. As I entered into the married life and motherhood, I began to feel a desperation for something more; something – Someone – that could feed my soul. It was on one of my rock bottom days that I very clearly felt the Holy Spirit stirring inside and picking me up. It was that day, 6 years ago, that I wholeheartedly accepted Jesus Christ as my savior. From that day forward, I have lived a life of faith in action and have formed a deep relationship with the Lord.”
