A continual goal at Faith Christian Academy is to equip each student to impact the world for God. One of the ways FCA actively pursues this goal is by our High School mission's trips, geared toward the graduating Seniors of FCA. In the past, the school has sent teams of teens into Mexico.

In 2008, we sent our first team of students to Costa Rica. While there, the students were introduced to the hard work involved in being missionaries. They each participated in various aspects of preparing the mission compound for the construction of a new church. They learned how difficult it is to work when the elements are working against them...with the extreme heat and humidity as well as the constant barrage of mosquitoes.

The students were also exposed to one on one and group evangelism. They actually traversed a jungle river in a swinging basket in order to reach a remote village. Why? Because those people needed to hear the message of Jesus' salvation, and our teens were determined to deliver that message.

FCA is far more than just a great setting for learning excellent academic and social lessons. FCA sets itself apart as a school that equips students to make a difference, both in Wausau and to the farthest reaches of the world.
